Treasure Hunt AUS Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and manage your personal information when you participate in the event “Treasure Hunt 2.0” (the “Experience”).
1. Collection of Personal Information
We may collect the following personal information from you during your registration and participation in the Experience:
● Full name
● Date of birth (to verify 18+ eligibility)
● Email address, contact number and Instagram account
● Photographs, audio and video recordings taken during the event
● GPS location and App usage data relevant to gameplay
This information may be collected directly from you, from your interaction with our proprietary mobile application (“App”), or from recordings captured during the Experience.
2. Purpose of Collection
We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
To manage and administer the Experience
To verify eligibility and participation
To operate and broadcast The Finale (the skill-based trade promotion)
For promotional, marketing, and media purposes, including live streaming, photography, social media, and publication on our official platforms
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
3. Consent to Use of Image and Likeness
By registering and participating in the Experience, you provide express and informed consent for us to:
● Photograph, film, and/or record you during the event
● Use your image, voice, name, and likeness in any media format (including live broadcasts)
● Publish or communicate such media via websites, social media, promotional materials, and press releases
Participation in the trade promotion known as “The Finale” is conditional upon this consent. Due to the public and live nature of the broadcast, Participants who do not consent to the use of their image and likeness are not eligible to receive entry into The Finale. This condition is essential for the conduct and integrity of the promotion and applies strictly.
If you do not wish to be recorded or appear in promotional media, you may still participate in the general scavenger hunt Experience, but you will not be entitled to enter The Finale.
4. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose your personal information:
● To third-party service providers (e.g. media production, IT support, marketing) who assist in the delivery of the Experience
● To regulatory authorities, if legally required
● To the general public via promotional materials and social media, in connection with the broadcast and marketing of the Experience and its trade promotions
All disclosures will be made in accordance with Australian privacy law.
5. Data Storage and Security
We store personal information in electronic formats with appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. Only authorised personnel have access to personal information, and we implement data minimisation and secure deletion practices in accordance with legal obligations.
